Dr. S.M. Raju, is a recently retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, having served the country from 1991 till 2020.
Ever since the beginning of his career, he has been involved in implementing various innovative and ground-breaking policies which have been accepted at the State and the National level by the Government of India and have been globally recognised for its far-reaching impact on our society.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has been identified as an important cause of worldwide morbidity and death by the worldwide Burden of Disease collaboration. Global all-age prevalence and mortality from CKD became by 29.3 and 41.5%, respectively, between 1990 and 2017.
